Prepare for your appointment

Preparing for your wax appointment

For best results, gently exfoliate the area of skin that will be waxed 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Recommended grow out time is two weeks. Hair must be ¼ inch to ensure removal.

For your protection please discuss any skin medications that could affect your waxing service. These include but are not limited to Accutane, Alpha or Beta Hydroxy Acids, Antibiotics, Benzoyl Peroxide, Differin, Retin-A/Retinol or any other skin thinning medication.

If you are using a topical form of Retin-A, stop all use 7 full days prior to your appointment.

Waxing is not appropriate during the use of Accutane.

Waxing near your menstrual cycle can be significantly more painful, schedule your appointment thoughtfully. A pain reliever/anti-inflammatory can be taken 30 minutes prior to a waxing appointment to minimize discomfort. Use of a topical cream can ease discomfort as well, ask for details.

Please avoid sun exposure for 24 hours both before and after your waxing service.
